Lichfield

Lichfield has an exciting array of property including traditional Victorian houses, retirement homes and exciting contemporary houses on developments such as Boley Park and Darwin Park. There are big supermarkets including a Waitrose, 24-hour Tesco and Morrisons. A flagship Lidl and drive-through Costa sits on a brand-new retail development which has other shops coming soon.

One of the main advantages to living in Lichfield is the direct route to London, taking just 1 hour 20 mins with Virgin Trains. Lichfield has great access to major motorway routes, allowing you to work in the bigger cities whilst coming home to a more relaxing way of life here.

This wonderful city has three senior schools – The Friary School, Netherstowe and Kind Edward IV.  There is also an option to send your children, via free transport, to John Taylor Free School in nearby Tatenhill.

Lichfield is close to the M6, M42 and A38, enhancing a buyer’s choice of living in the nearby picturesque Staffordshire villages including Shenstone, Whittington, Kings Bromley and Alrewas.

Abbots Bromley

Abbots Bromley is a wonderful village which is has been twice rated the best place to live in the Midlands by the Sunday Times and is often the winner of the Staffordshire Best Kept Village competition. With fantastic schooling, a great selection of amenities and stunning scenery, it is unsurprising that Abbots Bromley is such a popular and sought-after place to live.

Schools include The Richard Clarke First School and private school Woodward School (formerly known as Abbots Bromley School for Girls) which has an international college.  In addition, Abbots Bromley falls into the catchment area of Thomas Alleyne’s High School.

The village enjoys plenty of shops, restaurants and public houses, and sports grounds ran by Abbots Bromley Sports Association. The jewel in the crown here is the beautiful Blithfeld Reservoir which provides a stunning backdrop to this intriguing village.

Alrewas

A self-contained village 5.8 miles north of Lichfield, Alrewas has some beautiful homes to live in. Elford is great if you are looking for village life, close to Lichfield and Tamworth. It’s a pretty village on the banks of the River Tame, close to the A513. There is a modern village hall, a traditional social club and historic pub called The Crown.

A good place for families, there is a local school, Howard Primary School, a large sports field for football and cricket teams, and an excellent children’s playground run by volunteers.

Fradley

Located 4 miles north of Lichfield, Fradley is a great place to find an apartment, bungalow, townhouse, cottages, farmhouses and larger executive homes. Fradley is a large employment area due to its good transport links, it has a range of facilities including a local gym, coop and takeaways. Handsacre

The town nestles in the beautiful backdrop of Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty. This is one of the most popular locations for cyclists due to its having renowned black and red routes. Cannock Chase is great for families too, with more leisurely green routes to enjoy. Rugeley is within proximity to a heritage trail, funded by the National Lottery, linking the town to Hednesford and Cannock with excellent disabled access

Shenstone

Shenstone is a great choice if you are looking for a home full of character, close to Lichfield. This charming village has many individual houses and a pretty little train station.
