Celebrating the past for a brighter future

All proceeds from the Oakamoor Hill Climb go to the registered charity Staffordshire Clubs for Young People (SCYP).

James Morgan, Director at John German explains “Staffordshire Clubs for Young People have a fantastic team of youth workers organising and running sporting events and activities across Staffordshire. The charity aims to help keep young people off the streets, particularly those from less advantaged backgrounds. This is a positive step to help prevent them from getting involved in crime, drugs and anti-social behaviour.  Since Staffordshire County Council closed down its Youth Services a year or so ago it makes the reliance on clubs like SCYP even more vital.”

“I am on the Commitee of the SCYP and therefore the cause is very close to my heart. We’ve been involved with Oakamoor Hill Climb since its inception and now it is one of the main fundraising activities John German take part in each year.” concludes James.
