Lichfield is a small town and we regularly bump into happy customers which makes the job very rewarding.
Top tip for buyer or seller? Before going on the market, walk through your home and imagine how a buyer would see things for the very first time. Can you see anything which needs updating or fixing? Are there any rooms which look too cluttered or busy? If so, it’s worth taking a bit of time to get things looking fresh, spacious and homely.

Where is your favourite place in Ashby? What I love about Ashby is the fabulous range of period buildings tucked in and around the town. We really do have a bit of every era!
I’m a fan of Georgian buildings, their architecture and especially those grand imposing entrance doors.
Favourite part of your job? From the initial stages of meeting a client and hearing their personal story and why their home is important to them all the way through to seeing a sold sign appearing on their for sale board.
Top tip for buyer or seller? Always view a house, don’t dismiss it ‘online’
What would be your dream home? Cottage by the sea in North Devon.

I started my career in property in 2024, working as a legal secretary at a law firm in conveyancing. I then made the move to an estate agency in 2025 working as a Lettings Negotiator before progressing into my current role as a Sales Negotiator.

The best part about working in sales is helping people achieve the most important milestone in their lives, whether that’s helping first-time buyers get on the property ladder or assisting people with the sale of their most prized assets. I enjoy delivering a smooth experience and building lasting relationships.

For buyers, know your budget, have your mortgage agreed in principle and view a variety of properties, you might be surprised by the one you will fall in love with! For sellers, follow your agent’s guidance and maintain clear communication throughout the process.

What would be your dream home? A modern property with views over the beach and a swimming pool for the kids, oh and maybe with a hot tub and gym.

What’s your experience? I have completed work experience twice with John German. I have recently joined the company as an apprentice as I really enjoyed my time with the lettings and management team.
Favourite part of your job? My favourite part of the job is going out and seeing beautiful houses and letting them to excited, happy tenants.
Top tip for tenant or landlord? Choose a good agent. The team I am working with are all qualified and highly experienced – I am looking forward learning from them.

I am training with John German currently, doing a two year Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship. Previously I worked with Marks and Spencer’s so my experience in customer service massively benefits me withing the role of a Property Manager. I am excited to be embedding myself in this career path and am looking forward to a career with John German.

For me the best part of the job is the people, helping people find their ideal home and helping landlords find reliable tenants. Viewing a variety of different properties is also something I love about my job.

Time at John German? I started at John German in January 2018. We bought our house from JG in 2015 and were so impressed with the service I decided I needed to work for them!
Favourite part of your job? I love the variety that marketing offers me each week. Being able to mix my (slightly nerdy) organisational skills with a creative outlet is such a great combination! It’s so rewarding helping to come up with ways to best showcase both properties and our fantastic company.
Top tip for buyer or seller? If you need a mortgage, speak to a mortgage advisor to get an Agreement in Principle in place before you start your search. This will put you in a much better position when making an offer on a property.
What is your dream home?: I don’t need a mansion… too much cleaning!!! However, I’d love a character property with a gorgeous sunny garden. Something like a renovated red brick farmhouse… ideally with a traditional courtyard, some outbuildings and a lovely big wraparound plot. I know my daughter would love some stables too!
