John German Adopt a Phone Box!

1

We are thrilled to announce that we have adopted a disused phone box located in the Leicestershire village of Quorn.

Our Lettings Manager, Suzie Smith, had the fantastic idea to use the phone box to create a mini community library.

The project launched in conjunction with World Book Day on March 8th. With local libraries facing closures, Suzie noticed these community libraries popping up in villages which are typically run by volunteers within the parish. Suzie and the team felt this was a fantastic opportunity to create something for our local community.

After an appeal for book donations across our social media platforms, we were inundated with hundreds of wonderful books which were sorted through to make sure they were still in good condition for the library.

However, we are still in search of children’s books for the library, if you should wish to donate any unwanted children’s books, please drop off to either our Loughborough or East Leake offices.

Loughborough Office – 3-5 Bedford Square, Loughborough, LE11 2TP

East Leake Office – 75 Main Street, East Leake, LE12 6PF

If you spot the phone box in Quorn, or pop in to borrow a book, we would love to see a photo! Please tag us on Instagram @johngerman_lboro_eastleake
