The local housing market started with a boom at John German with sales agreed up by 8% in 2018, compared to the same time last year.

Our latest figures on the local Midlands’ housing market has revealed some positive results.

The number of house-hunters looking for new homes is up by 14%

Supply of available properties up by almost 30%

In line with this, the number of sales has also increased

Summary of market in 2018

Whilst still higher than a year ago, rate of increase in February not has high compared to January. There have been higher levels of activity in the property market throughout the Midlands at the start of 2018.

The number of house-hunters registering/making enquiries is 14% up on last January and February. The number of properties available to buy at John German has also risen and is up 27% on Jan/Feb 2017.

In January alone, the number of sales agreed increased, with offers accepted up 18% on last January. The signs are that activity has fallen back in February, and whilst still higher than a year ago, the rate of increase found in January has not been maintained with the weather no doubt stalling interest in the last week or so.
