Last updated April 3, 2020

Your well-being along with that of our employees and their families, is of paramount importance to us. We want to reassure you that we are following the Government’s ongoing advice fully so we can safely support you during these unprecedented times.

We continue to provide a range of services, however to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus we have made alterations to our usual processes, some of which are listed below.

Getting in touch

Whilst John German branches are temporarily closed, our staff are set up to work from home and will continue to offer our award-winning service during this period of social-distancing. Simply get in touch with us by email or telephone; for contact details of your local John German team CLICK HERE.

Booking a viewing of a house for sale or rent

The stricter social-distancing measures mean we can no longer offer face to face viewings, either with one of our representatives or direct between the property owner and yourself.  Instead, we encourage you to continue using our online booking system to express your interest in a property you like. We will register your interest and book a viewing for after the measures have been relaxed. We are working on introducing virtual viewings where possible too – so watch this space!

Market appraisals (property valuations)

At present, we are unable to visit your property to carry out a market appraisal, but the good news is we can still help you plan the sale or let of your property via a virtual valuation. Click on the relevant link for more details VIRTUAL VALUATIONS FOR SELLERS / VIRTUAL VALUATIONS FOR LANDLORDS.

Managed properties

We continue to manage all of our fully managed properties, supporting both landlords and tenants. We are temporarily suspending non-essential house visits in line with Government advice, however we will continue to help all tenants with essential repairs to their homes, taking into account full protocol set out by the Government. If you are a tenant, we advise you to continue to report any issues via Propertyfile.

Because of the nature of the situation, the lettings team are dealing with a large volume of enquiries whilst working hard to ensure the safety of those living in our managed properties. Therefore, for all general or rent enquiries, we kindly ask you to email lettings@johngerman.co.uk instead of calling the team. We will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible and thank you for your patience during this time.
