The people who make it happen
David Woodcock at John German Estate Agents has helped thousands of home owners throughout the Midlands sell their properties and has spent the last two years as Sales Director in charge of the Loughborough and East Leake offices. Working alongside David are Sales Negotiators, Lauren Powley and Joanne Louise-Chambers and Accompanied Viewer Barry Anderson. Having lived in Loughborough all their lives, they know the area inside out. This is fundamental, from helping buyers find somewhere just right for them, to negotiating the best price for our clients and liaising with solicitors and agents within a chain to help the sale go through to completion.
If you do book a valuation, David will run you through exactly what selling a property involves and how much he believes you should market your property for.
Another property 'veteran' at John German Estate Agents is Lettings Director, Tracey Glenn. She is in charge of the Lettings & Management department and provides landlords with advice on everything to do with renting out their properties, including how much rent to charge and the legalities involved.
Did you know?
We sell properties on a NO SALE, NO FEE basis, with fees only payable on completion of a sale - we are motivated to sell your property but if for any reason this does not happen, rest assured you will not be out of pocket. *T & Cs apply.
To book a free valuation please complete our valuation form, alternatively feel free to give us a call on the number above. In the meantime, why not try our free instant online valuation tool; this will give you an idea of how much your property could be worth if you were to sell or rent it out.

Loughborough and the surrounding area has a wide range of properties to suit all needs. Recent years have seen the development of many town centre apartment complexes, ideal for busy professionals, including Coach House Court, City Heights, Manor Gardens, Barnsdale Close and Sovereign Court. On the outskirts are residential estates with starter and family homes, whilst the much sought-after 'forest side' of town has a mixture of newer developments and traditional houses including some very smart detached properties.
Vibrant, diverse and popular is the best way to describe the university and market town of Loughborough. It offers not only great transport links but is blessed to be surrounded by picturesque countryside in particular Charnwood Forest and Bradgate Park. The bustling high street with its weekly market has plenty of choice for shoppers and diners. More bespoke boutique-style shops and wine bars can be found along the cobbled streets of Churchgate Mews and for those wishing to catch the latest blockbuster movie, there is Cineworld at the recently built Baxter Gate, a family-oriented leisure complex with Nandos and Pizza Express. To get away from the hustle and bustle take a stroll into the tranquil Queens Park, home to Charnwood Museum, a bowling green, bandstand, aviaries, play area and the famous Carillion Tower War Memorial and Museum.
Many of the staff at John German have grown up and studied in Loughborough and now have their own children who attend some of the excellent schools here. Schools include the sought-after Loughborough Endowed Schools; Fairfield Preparatory School, Grammar School, High School and Our Lady's Convent School. There is also the highly regarded Loughborough University and Loughborough College. Loughborough is renowned in the UK for its sports provisions and was chosen by the British Olympic Association as the training base for Team GB for the London 2012 Games. Famous alumni include names like Steve Backley, Sebastian Coe and Paula Radcliffe to name but a few.
Loughborough is surrounded by many Charnwood villages each with their own character and mix of houses including Mountsorrel, Rothley, Sileby and Shepshed. You will find wonderful cottages, executive homes and really nice 1930's period properties in the affluent village of Quorn which has a fabulous cafe-bistro lifestyle. Neighbouring village Barrow upon Soar is perfect for the growing family with its thriving high street, modern 3-4 bedroom houses and good primary and secondary schools. Hathern, Kegworth and Castle Donington have become increasingly popular with buyers and renters over the past few years. The villages are super close to East Midlands Airport and major Midlands' road networks including the M1 and A50, perfect for employees at large companies nearby and for those who need to commute into Leicester, Derby and Nottingham.
