For clients selling a vacant property we often get asked ‘should we furnish the property?’
Obviously it is the client’s choice, however here are just a few reasons why it is a good idea to do so:
•Viewers like to see how they can incorporate their own furniture into a room i.e. where their sofa or double bed would fit.
•Having furniture in a room can surprisingly also make the room look larger than an empty space.
•It can also help potential buyers understand the flow of a property; which room can be used as a living room, dining room, study etc.
•Finally, if the property is completely empty it’s very easy to spot flaws, scratches on walls, marks on carpets, having furniture in a room, draws the eye away and may prevent you from needing to re-decorate rooms.
We are working with Elaine @ Lemon and Lime Interiors who provides a furnishing service to clients wishing to rent furniture whilst their property is on the market. She gives some great examples of rooms unfurnished to furnished, the transformation is amazing!

"Nothing was too much trouble, you went out of your way to answer questions, chase up all solicitors and generally looked after us throughout the whole process. We moved into this property in less than 4 weeks due to this. You kept your promise."
