In the last few week’s John German has sold some fantastic properties in Keyworth so we thought it would be perfect timing to put this Nottinghamshire village under the spotlight to find out why it’s such a popular place to live……
Where is Keyworth?
Just 8 miles to the south east of Nottingham City Centre, on the fringes of the Nottinghamshire Wolds, Keyworth is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a service centre for surrounding villages including Tollerton and Plumtree, providing schooling, shops, health facilities and recreational facilities.
What’s to love about Keyworth?
• A lovely village location with plenty to do for everyone.
• Lots of play areas to keep the kids happy.
• Active village social activities;
The Keyworth Parish Council’s diary is jammed packed with things to do including: yoga, ‘bums, tums and thighs' at Keyworth Leisure Centre, coffee mornings, guitar classes and guided walks to name only a few.
• The public transport links are great with frequent buses into Nottingham city centre and central West Bridgford.
What the locals like about living in Keyworth
Mrs K, owner of Brook View Drive, Keyworth, tells us what she likes most...
“What I like about living as a family in Keyworth is that there are lots of clubs and activities within the village for all age groups. The schools are good including an excellent sixth form within easy walking distance. The village is surrounded by lovely countryside yet has easy access to Nottingham and Loughborough.”
Ms W, owner of Fairway, Keyworth also shares her favourite things about Keyworth...
“I would say the best thing about living in Keyworth is the community spirit. The amenities are fantastic with 3 supermarkets including Sainsburys which is open until 10pm every day. Having had 3 children born since living in Keyworth I have been to many of the parent and baby groups which too are fab. There is more or less one in the village every day of the week. The Keyworth Tavern does lovely food and the Plumtree Fish & Chip Shop is one of the best in the area.

"The service has been extremely effective, supportive and professional throughout the rather prolonged and somewhat challenging sales negotiation process. All involved staff/departments of your organisation functioned in a highly coherent and integrated manner."
