When Barton Under Needwood Scout Group needed support for their annual bonfire and fireworks display, we were more than happy to help plot a successful and explosive evening, held on Friday 6th November.
The event is now well established and recognised as a spectacular display to mark Guy Fawkes night, and all in the good cause of supporting the Barton Scout Group in providing exciting adventures for the young people of Barton Under Needwood and surrounding villages.
John German’s support along with the generous help of numerous small businesses in the village, means that the Scouts maximise the funds raised towards running the group from the event which featured a superb fireworks display to music by Pyroteck fireworks.
Traditional bonfire night fayre was also provided by willing volunteers to help the event provide a wonderful family evening, the weather held off long enough too!
“As part of our “Community Partnership” project, John German are always willing to show support for such worthy events, and it was a pleasure to work with David Roworth and the Scouts.” Commented John German Director, Phill Sandbach.
"Special thanks must also go to Estate Signs for producing the sponsor’s sign.” Phill added.
"A BIG thank you to all at John German (Burton) for helping with our purchase. A special thanks to Marie who took my calls (sometimes grumpy ones!) day after day and who remained calm, professional and patient on days when i wanted to give up! Thank you all."
