Magnificent Garden Centre Piece
‘Lightbounds’ in Uttoxeter has its very own giant Gunnera Manicata which wouldn’t look out of place on the set of Jurassic Park, at 12ft tall the magnificent centre piece is nothing short of spectacular.
In many gardens a plant of this magnitude might be an unwelcome guest but set in the 2.9 acre garden at ‘Lightbounds’ it fits in perfectly.

Mrs Phillips, comments: ‘The leaves are as tough as old boots and offer great protection if there’s a shower while I’m out gardening, or to enjoy a quick cup of tea in the shade during sunny weather.
‘It gets as tall as this each year because it thrives in boggy soil and I keep it very wet. But the rainy July and then a brief heatwave have really helped it flourish. It’s pretty impressive. Every year it amazes us with its size.’
Would you like to live in a home like this?
This wonderful five bedroom family home sits on the edge of the market town of Uttoxeter. The house is understood to have built in 1902, in Edwardian times, with arts and crafts themes running throughout. A truly stunning and individual property.
"I recently sold my house through John German and can honestly say all of the staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and they worked hard to achieve the best price for my property and to progress the sale as quickly as possible. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family."
