East Leake was buzzing with excitement last Saturday in anticipation of the big Christmas lights switch on and the arrival of Santa Claus!
The rain did little to dampen the Christmas spirit of the Village and John German opened their doors to offer respite from the weather with a warming cup of festive cheer in the shape of a hot chocolate with all the trimmings.
Local artist and author Melissa Hemmings also joined us for the evening and, to help with our fund raising for Treetops Hospice donated a signed copy of her children's book 'The Krankpotts come to Loughborough'.
We also held a raffle and are pleased to announce the winners are:
Brian Blackmore – Champers & Thornton Chocolates
Linda Potts – Picture by Melissa Hemmings
Judith Cooper – Signed book by Melissa Hemmings
Thank you to everyone that popped in to join us, we raised a fantastic £83.34 for Treetops Hospice on the evening.
"The first time I've ever used an estate agents and there are plenty to choose from in this town. After visiting 4 we decided to use John German and we were not disappointed. I felt that I was give straightforward advice and had a clear idea of the costs involved. Found some of the others had a few hidden costs. Matt and the team were fantastic all the way through what was a lengthy sale (due to our buyers solicitors) and kept me informed every step of the way. Would recommend them to anyone thinking about moving."
