Oakamoor Hill Climb - Saturday 14th July 2018Set to be its biggest year so far with twice as many entrants and stalls, the Oakamoor Hill Climb is guaranteed to make for a great day out. You'll have a chance see around 100 veteran, vintage and classic motor vehicles, whilst soaking up the wonderful atmosphere of the Oakamoor Festival, with food/crafts stalls and fun activities for all the family to enjoy.
Celebrating the past for a brighter futureAll proceeds from the day go to registered charity Staffordshire Clubs for Young People (SCYP). Owner Director of John German Estate Agents James Morgan explains "John German have been involved with Oakamoor Hill Climb since inception and it is now one of the main fund-raising activities we do for the charity each year. I am on the Committee for the SCYP and therefore it is so very close to my heart.
It's all about raising funds to help the young people of Staffordshire, particularly those less advantaged and living in some of the poorer areas of the county where keeping young people off the streets is vital to reduce the risk of them getting involved in crime, drugs and anti-social behaviour. SCYP has a fantastic team of Youth workers, led by Ian Atherton, who organise and run sporting events and activities across the County. Since Staffordshire County Council closed down its Youth Services a year or so ago it makes the reliance on Clubs like SCYP even more vital."
