The Abbots Bromley 10k & Junior Fun Run returns once again. Suitable for all, the race will be held at Blithfield Reservoir in Rugeley, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
- 10k Run
- 2.5k Junior Event
- Stunning location along the water's edge
John German Estate Agents are proudly sponsoring the Abbots Bromley 10k and Junior Fun Run on Saturday 23rd September at Blithfield Reservoir. With the proceeds going towards the ABSA Ground Development, you're invited to come along and join in the fun.
Making the distance much more bearable is the course which follows the water's edge along the reservoir, providing stunning views along the way. Being mostly flat, the route is suitable for all. Young ones can also take part in the Junior Event which covers 2.5km.
Abbots Bromley Sports Association (ABSA)Abbots Bromley Sporting Association is responsible for the development of the local sporting facilities for future generations in Abbots Bromley and the surrounding areas.
The association is linked with the Cricket Club, the Football Club and the Junior Football Club to provide all their amenities over the next four to five years. This is a significant development for the village, and in terms of sports and leisure activities, well overdue for a village of this size and aspiration.
To help raise funds for the massive project, ABSA organise fundraising events such as the 10k run. Last year they were able to secure/raise funds in excess of £200,000 which went towards the successful completion of Phase 1 of their initial project, a new cricket ground at Lichfield Road near to Mill Green. The Trustees are now focused on Phases 2 and 3 - a football/sports pitch and a clubhouse.
By taking part in the race you will be helping towards this worthwhile cause which will help many for years to come.
"Thank you for the wonderful job the team did for us in selling "Lothlorien". Nothing was ever too much trouble! There are estate agents and there is John German, a cut above the rest! Best wishes for the future to you and all the team at Lichfield!"
