It’s the bohemian cousin of trendy West Bridgford
With Radcliffe Road separating the two, Lady Bay has a distinct chilled out, arty feel to the place. This ‘urban village’ has a brilliant sense of community, with so much going on in terms of its social calendar, including;
Lady Bay Arts Festival – featuring a fantastic line up of artists & designers in 26 venues including artists’ studios, art in homes & gardens of local residents and businesses. This year’s event saw over 2000 visitors including 300 children over the course of the weekend. Funds raised from the festival programme, will now enable festival organisers to plan next year's line up, commission professional artists to run special activities and provide more extensive artist led workshops for 2017.
Water sport entertainment is literally on the doorstep
Take a lovely stroll along Adbolton Lane or along the River Trent via ‘The Hook’ and before you know it, you will find yourself at Holme Pierrepont Country Park which is set in 270 acres of beautiful parkland.
With excellent water facilities, accommodation, a campsite, Outdoor Adventure Zone, Life Fitness Gym and marvellous nature trails for cycling and walking, Holme Pierrepont Country Park is a favourite destination for families, schools, corporate companies and individuals.
