Congratulations to Lynn Cox and Kim Clark who successfully took part in the biggest fight against cancer at the Race for Life event on the 10th June 2012 at Walsall. They completed the race in 39 minutes and their team of 6 raised a massive £1,230 between them.
Lynn and Kim took part in the event for their mother June who sadly passed away last year.
The money raised by women taking part in Race for Life helps Cancer Research UK fund research into many different types of cancer. Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped saved millions of lives in the UK and across the world.
Their work is entirely funded by donations from the public so whether it is money raised from taking part in the Race for Life or contributions it will all help them achieve their goal of beating cancer.
